We deeply believe that our mokopuna are born with their own korowai. Their korowai is enriched by their ancestors and embedded with their identity, their language, their culture and their story. As they learn new things, they add that learning to their korowai. When our students transition to Deanwell, we value and acknowledge their already developing korowai. We feel incredibly privileged that we are then allowed as educators to stimulate and provide learning opportunities where each student can add new knowledge, new strategies, new skills, new feathers to their korowai.
