ABOUT EVENT

Karearea Toru and Tui Toru have been very fortunate to have been selected to take part in  ‘The Warehouse Zoofari programme’ at the Hamilton Zoo on Tuesday 24th September 2019. 

This means that The Warehouse Zoofari will pay for return transport costs and admission costs to the zoo.  This includes an education session in the zoo classroom. 

We will need some parent / whānau helpers to accompany us.  We are only allowed to take three adult helpers on the bus, any others will need to come in private vehicles.  If you are available to help, please add your details to the slip at the bottom of the notice sent out recently and return to your childs teacher.

The outline for the day will be:

9:15am  Leave Deanwell School

9:45  Arrive Hamilton Zoo 

10:00  Education Session in the Zoo Classroom

10:30  Morning tea

11:00  Tour of the zoo

12:00pm Lunch

12:30  Continuing zoo tour

1:30  Depart for Deanwell School

2:00  Arrive Deanwell School

We will be travelling by bus.  Please ensure that your child has:

• covered shoes
• a raincoat
• a substantial packed lunch
• a water bottle
• a sunhat with a brim
