ABOUT EVENT

This term, Tui Tahi and Kereru Tahi have been given an amazing opportunity to attend the UCI Track Cycling World Cup opening heats. 

Trip Specifics:

WHO: Tui Tahi and Kereru Tahi

WHERE: Avantidrome Cambridge

WHEN: Friday 6th December 

PURPOSE: Build relationships, be inspired with our dreams

LEARNING: Learning about the work that goes into becoming an elite athlete

COST:             FREE OF CHARGE TO FAMILIES – This trip is subsidised!                        

Trip Timeline: 

8.55 am          Meet at school in classrooms

9.30 am          Meet in hall and load bus

9:45 am          Depart School

10.15am         Arrive at Avantidrome 

10.30am         Get seated in avantidrome

11.00am         Heats begin (we will have lunch during the programme)

2.20pm           Load bus at Avantidrome for departure

2.30pm           Depart Avantidrome

3.00pm           Arrive back at Deanwell School, go home 

Please Bring:

• A fully packed lunch 
  • There will be no facilities to purchase food or drink.
  • Please pack extra food as we often find children get hungrier during a day trip
• A full drink bottle of water 
• Comfortable clothes (the temperature inside the avantidrome is warm)
• Comfortable covered shoes

We require a number of parent helpers for this trip. If you are able to accompany us, please indicate on the return slip sent out recently. Without parent support, the trip will not be able to go ahead. As a parent helper, you will be supervising a small group of students for the day.

(Children without this completed form will not be able to attend the day trip.) 

All forms must be returned by Monday 25th November to enable us to finalise numbers.
